The Tactical Information Communication Network (TICN) will be a comprehensive military tactical information communication system of the future that enables rapid and precise command and control and decision making by unifying the various military communication networks into one and disseminating in real-time diverse battlefield information to the right person at the right time.
The TICN program will replace the current tactical communications system and wireless combat network operated by the Korean Army starting from 2013 and provide the armed forces a network that allows high speed, high capacity, long distance wireless relay transmission. Among the equipment that constitute the TICN program, Huneed Technologies is carrying out the development of the High Capacity Trunk Radio (HCTR) - high capacity wireless transmitter/receiver, and the Tactical Multi-band Multi-role Radio (TMMR) - tactical software designed radio (SDR), on the foundation of technical expertise that spans over 40 years in the military communications sector and the experience accumulated in executing existing VHF, AM and FM two-way radio projects. |
