TRS (Trunked Radio System) is a frequency-sharing communication system, which is a method of communication that maximizes the frequency efficiency by enabling people to communicate over a few distinct frequencies.
The Korean armed forces are planning to use the TRS as a single communication system to establish an efficient command and communication network that will process diverse operational elements of joint rear operations single-handedly. At the root of the drive towards an establishment of the TRS is the need for the strengthening of the military forces necessitated by the call for an operation of an integrated communication network reflecting the characteristics of joint defense operations amongst the civil, government and military sectors, and of the rear operational area.
Once the TRS network is established, the interoperability between integrated defense operations and emergency support operations will be firmly secured. Also, the subscription to diverse operational elements and the simultaneous operation of centralized and decentralized communication networks will be made available.
Sensing a real need for a TRS establishment in the military sector and preparing to resolve potential problems that could occur between the current and future communication systems, Huneed Technologies is pursuing the defense TRS project in close collaboration with Motorola. |
