Huneed Technologies (Chairman Eugene Kim/ KOSPI 005870, www.huneed.com) announced that the company was selected as the 2015 Best Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) for the Productivity Management System.
Productivity Management System is a certification implemented by MOTIE to achieve superior levels of production. The companies are evaluated in the categories of business process, innovation, management and leadership among others.
Huneed, which has 47 years of history as a defense company and is the main supplier of Tactical Communication and Control Systems to the armed forces of ROK, entered the aerospace industry in 2006 with a capital investment from The Boeing Company, the world’s largest aerospace company. As a result, the F-15 and F/A-18 fighter jets currently operating in combat missions by the U.S. Air Force and Navy are equipped with the Huneed manufactured electrical panels. Huneed is already operating dedicated production lines for the exports to Singapore and Saudi Arabia air forces.
Huneed is a domestic Aerospace and Defense specialized company complying with AS9100, and is the first SME in Republic of Korea to acquire CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) Level 4 Certification for its R&D activities.
